Cultivate a Community of Care.

Are you interested in planting seeds of hope?

  1. Do my thoughts and actions harm others?

  2. What privileges or advantages do I hold?

  3. What factors put me at risk for oppression?

  4. What is easy and simple for me that is harder for others?

  5. What is one way I can be generous in my personal life?

  6. What is one way I can be generous in my professional life?

Based on the book, Real Self-Care A Transformation Program For Redefining Wellness, by Dr. Pooja Lakshmin, a regular, Hope Practice was originally designed to support people with illness, loss, and chronic pain. It is a frame work to help people to activate one or more of four different types of coping:

  • Problem Solving- defining a task to move your forward.

  • Emotion Regulation - reducing moments of stress.

  • Activating Core Identity - connecting with a deeper sense of self

  • Relational Coping - engaging with mentors and important people in your life.
