Based on the book, Real Self-Care A Transformation Program For Redefining Wellness, by Dr. Pooja Lakshmin, a regular, Hope Practice was originally designed to support people with illness, loss, and chronic pain. It is a frame work to help people to activate one or more of four different types of coping:
Problem Solving- defining a task to move your forward.
Emotion Regulation - reducing moments of stress.
Activating Core Identity - connecting with a deeper sense of self
Relational Coping - engaging with mentors and important people in your life.
This workshop is a total of 8 hours. Two chapters in two-hour sessions which is facilitated by a certified yoga and wellness instructor, Doreen Nicastro.
Each will start and end with a breathing meditation and welcome.
Participants will set the ground rules.
